Hook, Line & Sinker

Hook, Line and Sinker
November 15, 2012

I know I have brought up how addicting television can be and I know I have talked about investing myself into fictional characters. What I would like to cover now, is my infatuation with Grey’s Anatomy.

Grey’s Anatomy, if you aren’t familiar, takes place in Seattle. The story revolves around a female doctor, Meredith Grey. We are currently in Season Nine and it is ever-so-good. But, I didn’t start watching this drama series until it was into its third season. I would like to mention that when I met my husband in 2007, he was not a Grey watcher. So, I got him completely hooked to the show! Congratulations to me (I know, all you ladies who have significant others only wish your “hubby” would watch with you too).

Last week, we signed up for Netflix. Now, if you don’t know this, Netflix is a subscribed movie and TV show database that you can stream from your TV, DVD player and/or computer. While getting introduced to the application, we came across Season one of…you guessed it, Grey’s Anatomy. The first season was only nine episodes long, so we killed that in about three days. We are now into Season two and there is twenty eight episodes. Yes, that is right. Three times the amount (plus one) than season one.

I am addicted. Since last Friday we have now caught up to episode eighteen!! I know this may sound like I have a serious problem and probably no life, but let me tell you, it is so good! Why would anyone want to do drugs when you can watch something like this and be an addict?! I do have a life, by the way. A full time job and going to school. Grey’s Anatomy is just my current guilty pleasure (before this was Fifty Shades of Grey). Maybe I have a thing for Grey titles, who knows!

There really is no point to what I am going on about, just am overjoyed with the fact that a medical show, filled with drama and humor, can be oh-so entertaining!

If you haven’t seen it, check it out!! But, I highly suggest starting from the beginning…it is so worth it!
